Mark has extensive experience in pastoral systems, integrated pastoral systems, integrated feedlot systems and the commerce of farming. He has completed a number of substantive reviews of the strengths and weaknesses of pastoral dairying as practiced in New Zealand. He has strong skills in leadership and labour management. While the documented knowledge base on best practise for combining improved nutrition practice with grazed dairy cattle is scant, Mark is highly experienced in this field. He provides a systems approach to dairy production – that is matching a dairy system to the specific geo-climatic conditions provided in a set circumstance. He has outstanding knowledge of grazing systems and practical agronomy of these.
