Since 1960 has studied and worked in the field of fat metabolism
in ruminants, including composition and efficacy of various feed
fats, ruminal fat metabolism, fat absorption and transport, and
milk fat synthesis. Interests in utilization of fats in human nutrition;
taught graduate course in nutrition and metabolism of fats for 30
years. Conceived, developed and patented (with Dr. Tom Jenkins)
the use of calcium soaps as an energy supplement for high producing
ruminants. Lectured in 21 countries.
