| Everett Thomas is Vice President at the William
H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute in Chazy, N.Y. Everett
has worked as an agronomist in Northern N.Y. for 38 years, as a
regional specialist for Cornell University and since 1981 with Miner
Institute.
His responsibilities at Miner Institute include agricultural production,
research and education. Research interests include soil fertility
and forage quality.
He is a frequent contributor to Hoard’s Dairyman and Northeast
Dairy Business, has a monthly column in Farming magazine, is editor
and writes a semi weekly column for a New Zealand website, and is
the author of over 350 technical and popular press articles.
He has been involved in farm management and field crops consulting
in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
In 1999 he received the Outstanding Alumnus Award from the University
of Connecticut, in 2001 the Merit Award from the American Forage
and Grassland Council, and in 2003 the Gamma Sigma Delta Alumni
Award of Merit.
