Inc. (ACS) provides unbiased, professional, technical and scientific
information to its clients.
With expertise in crop management and agricultural engineering
services, ACS also supplies production and environmental management
services leading to improved profitability. By developing a close
working relationship with a farm's management team, Agricultural
Consulting Services becomes an actively involved partner in monitoring
and resolving operational issues and needs.
Led by founder and president Richard F. Wildman, full-time employees
of ACS include professional consultants, agricultural specialists,
engineers, and CAFO (concentrated animal feeding operations) planners.
Clients include livestock producers, vegetable and crop growers,
and food processors.
The growing list of services provided by ACS includes comprehensive
nutrient management planning, integrated pest management, waste
storage and handling systems, digital mapping and precision farming
applications, automated farm record systems, farmstead and lagoon
design. The company also designs and installs documented "best
management practices" for water-quality management.
Agricultural Consulting Services has a history of involvement in
public policy issues of importance to the agricultural industry
as well. For example, it had an active role in shaping the standards
and information process associated with US EPA Concentrated Animal
Feeding Operation Permits and with US EPA Agricultural Worker Protection
Standards. ACS has also shared its expertise with state agencies
and has been used as a resource by Cornell University relative to
research priorities.
